Data Driven Decision-Making

The Stakeholder Conflict Identification Strategy (STA-CIS) is a data-driven geospatial planning framework for decision-makers to identify optimal strategies that allow multiple stakeholders to achieve their respective goals while minimizing conflicts and maximizing impact.

WHY STA-CIS?

  1. Removing Siloes. STA-CIS removes the siloes of strategic planning and decision-making.

  2. Collaborative Governance. As multiple stakeholders pursue differing development, policy, or social objectives, STA-CIS identifies scenarios to facilitate collaborative governance and everyone wins.

  3. Identifying Opportunities. STA-CIS identifies the opportunities, impacts, and conflicts of decisions to the economy, to other stakeholders, and to other jurisdictions.

The STA-CIS recommendations provide guidance for land-use decisions, community investment, public health, renewable energy, and regenerative design. The outcome illustrates what’s needed to achieve desired goals, an understanding of possible opportunities, and an assessment of possible impact before any actual activity is completed or policy made on the ground.
