DESCRIPTION:
This summit aims to foster connections between community leaders, organization leaders, policy makers, funders, and more. The goal is to develop an inclusive shared understanding and action plan for what’s needed to achieve 2030 targets in the Greater Sacramento, California region.
Individual stakeholders like the conservation community, agricultural interests, developers, policy makers, and human services providers have their own goals and interests for how they do business. What is usually lost is how the interest of one compromises or conflicts with the goals of another. Individual goals of population growth, land preservation and conservation, and improving the overall quality of life for Californians aren’t mutually exclusive.
Imagine 2030 is an opportunity to:
understand how individual decisions and actions affect each stakeholder in different ways,
understand why natural environment, built environment, and societal challenges remain unresolved or are getting worse,
identify opportunities for investment and cooperation,
identify ways that all demographic groups, all income levels, and all communities can achieve improved quality of life outcomes, and
develop an action plan for moving forward together.
